Diversifying the Products
Out of respect to its consumers, Petrobras is always looking to expand the supply of products and solutions, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
In addition to excelling in order for Petrobras' operations in its field of business to be the best they possibly can be, further improving our formulas and our industrial park to make our products more competitive and sustainable, the researchers also see a future with an increasingly "green" product portfolio than the one currently offered by Petrobras.
To do so, Petrobras thinks ahead and is getting ready to also vary the raw materials in its industrial processes, also offering products that originate in either fossil fuels, in biomass, or in other renewable sources.
Some products, such as biodiesel, are already a reality.
Others, such as biofuels made from plant waste, are objectives the company is expected to soon achieve.
The study of several technological routes to achieve technical and commercial feasibility for several types of biofuels is the main driver of these lines of research.
