Procurement of Materials and Equipment

This group is the purchasing arm of the company, where bids are taken for the purchase of equipment, spare parts, services, and supplies. Procurement has a domestic area devoted to the purchasing demands of operations in the Gulf of Mexico, and another area focused on international trade, where vendors may bid for current and future business in Brazil, Latin America, or for any other country where Petrobras operates. Also, procurement is ISO 9001 certified.

Petrobras America maintains a vendor reference list with the goal of matching up key interests and qualifications with fit-for-purpose suppliers in a transparent selection process that fosters equal opportunity and competition.
